Zum vierten und letzten Videoslam der Saison lädt das Internationale Videofestival Bochum für Mittwoch, 11. April, um 20 Uhr in den Intershop in der Viktoriastraße. Beim Videoslam kämpfen Hobbyregisseure mit selbst gedrehten Kurzfilmen um die Gunst des Publikums. Der Sieger des Abends qualifiziert sich für das Finale auf dem Festival im Juni. Teilnehmen kann jeder, der einen selbst gedrehten Film mitbringt. Nach dem Wettbewerb gibt’s elektronische Musik zum Tanzen. Der Eintritt ist wie immer frei.
Auch in der vierten Runde des Videoslams steht neben den Filmen vor allem das Publikum im Mittelpunkt. Mit roten und grünen Karten entscheiden die Zuschauer über Sieg oder Niederlage der Hobbyfilmer. Der Gewinner des Slams erhält einen Wanderpokal und trifft im Finale, dem Grand Videoslam auf dem Internationalen Videofestival vom 14. bis 16. Juni, auf die Sieger der anderen drei Runden. Die Organisatoren des Videoslams freuen sich auf ein filmbegeistertes Publikum und bitten interessierte Videomacher, ihre Filme auf DVD oder VHS mitzubringen.
Bochum, April 10, 2007: Videoslam on April 11
The International Videofestival Bochum kindly invites you to the fourth and final Videoslam of the season, which will take place at the Intershop in the Viktoriastraße on April 11 at 8pm. The Videoslam is where amateur directors compete with self-made short films for the audience’s favour. The winner of the evening qualifies for the finals running at the Festival in June. Everyone is free to participate as long as they bring a self-made film to the slam. After the competition, there’ll be dancing to electronic beats. Admission, as always, is free.
The fourth round of the Videoslam places the audience, in addition to the films, in the centre. By means of red and green cards, the audience determine the winners and losers among the amateur directors. The winner of the slam is awarded a challenge cup and faces the winners of the previous three rounds during the finals: the Grand Videoslam of the International Videofestival, running from June 14-16. The Videoslam organisers are looking forward to welcoming an audience of film enthusiasts and they ask interested video artists to supply their films as DVD or VHS copies.
