Kristina Danzer

Kristina Danzer studied History of Art, Journalism and Archaeology in Göttingen, Bonn and Cologne. Since 1998, she has been assuming scientific and curator positions in various museums (Museum of Modern Art in Frankfurt, Museum Folkwang in Essen, Museum of Photography in Brunswick), focusing on the photography, film and video segments. Since 2002, Kristina Danzer has been member of the selection committee for the Kassel Documentary Film & Video Festival.

Arjon Dunnenwind

Studied at the Utrecht School of Arts, Netherlands.
In 1988 he was co-founder of the first Impakt Festival in Utrecht and is now festival director and artistic director. Impakt aims at offering a platform for innovative and interdisciplinary audio-visual arts, both nationally and internationally.
Apart from the Impakt Festival, Dunnewind produces and curates various film events, TV broadcasts, residencies and internet projects. He worked as an advisor for the Dutch Film Fund, department Research and Development, from 1996 until 2000. He regularly reads guest lectures at Dutch art academies and universties and curates screenings for festivals and events in and outside of the Netherlands.

Nanna Heidenreich

Project manager at arsenal experimental, the new initiative for experimental films, video art and installations (distribution, curatory projects and editing) at the Freunde der Deutschen Kinemathek e.V. in Berlin.
Has worked at festivals for many years (as curator, organiser and consultant), for example in pre-selection for the panorama section of the Berlinale until 2006. In 2007 coordination of "Forum expanded".
Is doing a PhD with the thesis "It's plain to see! The visual aspect in the German discourse on foreigners".
Teaching assignments at the University of Arts in Berlin and at the Studies Abroad Programme Lexia.

Eva Hohenberger

Studies of Journalism, German and Linguistics at the Westphalian Wilhelms-University Münster.
Studies of Media Sciences and Philology / Linguistics at the University of Osnabrück.
1987: Ph.D./graduation (Filmed reality and the reality of film. Approaching a theory of documentary and ethnographic film). Since 1994: scientific officer (Institute of Media Science at Ruhr-University Bochum); main focus of her scientific works: theory and history of documentary film.

Oliver Weiß

After finishing his training as an AV media designer, he worked as a cinematographer. Subsequently, he studied Film and Television Studies, Journalism and Psychology.
Weiß is working for the KurzFilmAgentur Hamburg and has been organising and curating short film nights for ten years now. In his capacity as a co-organiser of the Videofestival Bochum, he used to suffer from the long waits before the award ceremony and is now looking forward to being one of those causing them.

SKF Jury

The students' film circle (SKF), founded 40 years ago at the Ruhr-University Bochum, has pioneered media projection in a university environment. Since 1999, it has been represented in the Festival with a three-man jury. This year, the SKF jury will award two sponsorships.

Pedram Shahriari

*1982 _ Shiraz _ Iran

At the age of nine, he moved with his family to Bochum, where he has stayed until today. He studies at the Ruhr-Universität Environmental Engineering and Resource Management in his second year. Since 2006 he has been member of the Studienkreis Film.

Alexander Schultz

* 1985 _ Flensburg _ Germany

Since 2006 he has been studying German Philology and Philosophy in Bochum, but is actually waiting to enroll in Media and Theatre Studies.

Felix Brückner

*1982 _ Dortmund _ Germany

Enrolled in Media and English Studies. Since 2003 member of the Studienkreis Film, has gazed into abysses of all shapes and sizes. Shoots, but never hands in, videos. Leads a life of dissipation. He is currently setting up an adult video rental. Parents like him.
